O’Brien Contractors and Wates Construction have joined forces to provide a new pond and planting area for the children of local school Stanton Bridge, Coventry.

The school held a competition for the pupils to design the pond area, this gave the children a chance to become involved in the works that have been carried out at the school. A winner has been chosen and their design will become reality.

The area will be paved to give easy access to all with a notice board showing the design of the pond and information about the plants and fish within it.

O’Brien’s Project Manager, Tony Mitchell, said “We are always happy to help, anything that makes education more exciting for the children”.

O’Brien Contractors have just finished a 12 week contract at the local Primary school where they were involved with creating a new playground area and classroom extensions.
